Zhu Zhu Pets for a 3 year old?

DD is 3.5 and I want to get her some Zhu Zhu pets for her Easter Basket, does anyone have them for their 3 year old? Do they like them?

  • My kids really like them.  My youngest just turned 4.

  • My 3 year old seriously loves them! loves all the things that go with it like the car, the ramps, the blankets.

one thing: do not let those things get near hair.

My 2 year old DD is terrified of them, but my 4 year old DS loves them.  Just make sure your DD is old enough to understand not to put the pet on her head (or someone elses head, or any loose fabric) while the wheels are spinning.  Things get caught in there very easily.

My kids are begging for them.  I still cant find them in stores.  IF you do buy them and have a child with long hair just make sure you pull their hair up/back while they play with them.  A friend of mines dd got one stuck in her hair.  SHe had to cut it out.  :(  When the get stuck they go backwards on their own.  If its stuck in their hair it will wind one way and then the other making it impossible to get out without cutting.

I think 3yr old would love them.  At Cracker Barrel they have a similar thing being just a hamster in a ball.  It just runs around in the ball.  $8/each.  My kids had those a year ago and loved them.  The batteries died and we just havent put new ones in.

  • My 3.5 y/o likes hers.  We don't have the accessories though.

  • My kids got them at Christmas from their Uncle.  They played with them for a few days...haven't touched in a month.  My girls were almost 3 & 5.25 at the time.

  • Our DD#2 got one for Christmas- she was 3 1/2 at the time (turned 4 in Feb).  She loved it at first, but now it just sits in the corner...not before first getting tangled up in our golden retriever's hair & me having to cut it out.  Great toy.  (DD#1, who is 6, also got one for Christmas & hers sits in the corner now, too.  The kids lost interest in them VERY quickly.)
