I'm so excited to have this step finished! Since most cribs are stationary sided now, we had trouble finding one with a low enough side for me to reach in and out of comfortably. Sometimes being so short makes things difficult.
How tall are you? I was wondering the same thing about mine but once DH lifted spring up to the highest level plus the mattress I think I'll be okay...

I'm barely 5 feet tall. My problem wasn't when the mattress was at the highest level, but when it was at the lowest. There were alot of beds where I would never be able to put a sleeping child in there without dropping them.
I had the same problem and I'm 5'4"! DH joked about getting me a stepstool, but instead we bought the Baby's Dream Ocean with the gate side (it folds over at the top instead of the entire side dropping).

I can't wait to see your nursery.
The Ocean was our second choice! DH really wanted one that converted to a full size bed, so we decided on the Legendary.
And I'm definitely going to have a problem when we lower the mattress, which really needs to happen soon. Heck, it's not that comfortable for me now! I guess I should look into a step as well.

I had the same problem when looking for cribs. We just lowered the mattress, and it's a challenge. I really may have to get a step!
ETA: forgot to say I really like the crib you chose!

Love it!

Love it! It reminds me a little of DD's crib.
