Just did my last "dreamfeed" :(

I just dropped my DD's dreamfeed. She hardly nurses anymore, just a few swallows at the let-down. I'm sad. :( This has become my favorite part of the day; I love her little baby smells, baby breath as she nuzzles my neck, little sighs, the way we snuggle and it's quiet and peaceful. But, I know it's best for her. I guess it's just one of many things I'll have to let go of as she grows waaayyyyy too fast. Being a mommy is tough sometimes!

    A dreamfeed is the last feed of the night, about 2-4 hours after their feed before bedtime. You feed them without really waking them up...they're very relaxed and pretty much asleep. Then you put them right back down.

    A dreamfeed is the last feed of the night, about 2-4 hours after their feed before bedtime. You feed them without really waking them up...they're very relaxed and pretty much asleep. Then you put them right back down.

    I formula feed, so we don't even lift Hailey out of her crib, we just put the bottle to her mouth and she drinks (about 80% of a normal bottle). It works really well - at least I've found it to.

    I feel for you.  Although I am so sick of the restrictions that BF puts on me, I'm going to miss it so much when it's gone.

    Me too! I was just thinking about that...if dropping one feeding made me sad, I can't imagine how I'll feel when Zooey turns 1 yr., and I wean her completely. :(
