Registering with an ADD husband! haha

My husband and I are going to register tomorrow after our second ultrasound appt....he isn't much of a shopper and he loses interest very fast....does anyone have any advice on what to concentrate on?  What we should ask questions about while we are there?  I don't want him to get bored ten minutes into registering!  Help please!

  • I have no other advice other than what i am doing. DH stays home. :) I'll got with my mom.

  • My DH is like this to and I was kind of worried but I know with mine it was all so new and he wanted to play with everything or inspect it all. So I am sure he will be fine.

  • My husband has had the longest attention span with the the cribs and furniture--something that he is going to use--- or the mini boy Adidas outfits were interesting to him--he is into sports and wears a lot of Adidas.  He normally looks really bored when we are at the Tukwila BRU though-he would rather be at Best Buy or a Sportstore. So sometimes he will just have me meet him at the Sportstore after I go to BRU.  Or if we go together to BRU, we will then go to Best Buy -it is more interesting to him.

We will find out more about the gender this Friday.

I was really impressed that he put together our cradle from JCP last night--but then I had to watch Family Guy (Star Wars Episodes).  I have a feeling he will be more involved with putting together the crib.  And when the baby is born--he will have more of an opinion with clothes, diapers, other supplies etc.

  • I have a husband with the same problem and since we were going to register at two places we made the agreement that he would go to one with me. To keep him entertained I let him have the upc gun and kept him busy picking everything up to find the upc labels. I would also just make sure you have a plan in mind so that you can move semi quickly through the departments. Good luck!!
  • Give him the gun. Just keep an eye on him though. If he is anything like my husband he will start scanning random things while you aren't looking.
  • This is my plan too - although I did the same thing during our wedding registery & I had to do some clean up of our list afterwards just because of this - him straying & scanning things he thought would be funny to put on the list.  Smile
