So, we have friends who have a 1 month old. We hung out with them tonight. (The husband and my DH grew up together). When Nora was a tiny baby, they were over one afternoon, and she was fussy. She's generally a happy baby, but she had a rough day, as all babies do at times. The wife of the other couple kept saying 'are you sure she doesn't have colic?' I kept telling her that Nora doesn't, and that colicy babies cry a lot harder than an occasional fuss, and that it is inconsolable, blah blah blah. She asked about it at least three more times. I started resenting hanging out with them. (She obviously doesn't know much about babies).
Fast forward to tonight. We were over at their place for dinner. DD slept the entire time in her carseat. Their DD was crying for most of the night. The other wife kept getting stressed out. It took all of my willpower not to say "are you sure she doesn't have colic?'' I am totally immature, but it was sickly satisfying to me. There's no point to this post, but I am sure someone on here has been in a similar situation.
