Sleep Sack

I just heard about the sleep sacks today as opposed to a blanket for sleep.

Anyone else using these??

Re: Sleep Sack

  • I'm registered for a couple of the Halo Sacks.  They came highly recommended from other moms and my hospital.

  • We have 2 of them. We also have a few Swaddle Me's. I've heard from some friends that their babies preferred one or the other so we are going to try each out and see what works best.

  • I'd like to, either that or the footed sleepers. I plan to get both and see what the baby prefers. I just haven't gotten any yet.

  • Yes, I registered for the halo sleep sack swaddle thing, and another swaddle one, and just some regular sleep sacks.  You should not use blankets on babies for risk of sids.

  • We have these for DD and will use them for the next baby too.  She started using them once she outgrew swaddling.  They are great!  They keep her warm and I don't have to worry about blankets getting in her face.  At 20 months, she hates blankets so she is still using the sack.

  • Definitely get some sleepsacks!  It's not safe to use regular blankets for babies, due to the risk of SIDS.  I highly recommend the Halo Sleepsack Swaddles.  The swaddle part is removable (velcro), so if you happen to have a baby who doesn't like to be swaddled, the wearable blanket part will still be very useful.  Halo is the brand they use in the hospitals, and they really do work great.  And get a few of them, it's amazing how quickly we go through them with all the spit up!
