Success after IF

I have to go back to work...

I am so bummed...I thought I had another 3 months or so, but no such luck.

My mother is going to be my child care, but she is soooo unreliable, I may end up having to hire someone.

I'm not even sure I can find a job right now...there are very few nursing jobs available in our area right now...

This sucks...the only silver lining is that hopefully it will only be part time...but I want to be a SAHM...selfish much?  Yeah, probably...but I'm not happy about any of this...if my Mom were the least bit reliable, it would be totally different.

Damnit...this really really sucks...I don't want to leave Caroline.  Fvck...

Re: I have to go back to work...

  • I'm sorry to hear that. It must be so hard to think of leaving your LO after being home so much at first. I dread that day. Hopefully your mom will come through for you and everything will work out for the best. ((hugs))

  • I know just how you feel. I stayed home for 7 months...  I planned to go back to work in march, he would have been 9 month old then.  In jan my work called and asked if I could start immediately. We were paying 400 a month for insurance just for Carter and dipping into savings every month so I decided to do it. I work from home but I still have set hours and I can't be disturbed. I hired a nanny who has a baby his age and they play together. He loves it. (too much maybe....?) Then DH comes home from work and takes care of him. It is hard but I just remember that I am doing this because I need to for him. It helps me cherish every single second I have with him all the more! (as if I didn't already, ha!) Good luck!
  • I am sorry : (  You are not selfish for wanting to stay home.  People do the best they can.  I have heard it is hard at first, then gets easier as the time goes on.

  • I feel for you!  I have to go back to work full time next school year and REALLY do not want to.  I am completely bummed about it, but I am trying to be positive about it.  By going back to work I will be able to have the $ to do more and buy more fun things!  I am sorry again!
