f/u to baby clothes

My mom called to see if I needed anything from the local outlet shopping center. I said, "I don't think so...why are you up there?"

Reply: "Oh, well, I.........well, I went into Carter's.............."

~sigh~

And so it begins.

(Plus to Team Green: all clothing can be re-used for next baby, I guess.)

Re: f/u to baby clothes

  • I am team green too. Are you getting a lot of gender specific items?

  • I was sooo lucky with my shower. Truly I didnt get that many clothes and I got a TON of stuff off my registry (necessities like crib sheets, and changing pad covers even). I was worried all I was going to get was clothes.

  • (grin) if she is determined to keep getting baby stuff, ask for towels and washcloths they don't grow out of... :D and socks because you will always lose some.

Most Carter's stuff is actually well-made and will last through several babies, so green/gn is no problem!

No. It seems that since the mothers can't buy g/s, they're buying massive amounts of g/n onesies, layettes, bibs, hats, etc.

  • Absolutely can be reused. =) Grandmas can't help themselves I keep telling them stop buying clothes and diapers and stop telling people to buy clothes and diapers. We have tons of boy clothes and are CDing. They don't think I will want to CD a newborn and D bc it's "too much work".

same with me - people stayed away from buying clothes b/c I guess it's not as fun to buy GN stuff.  I did get quite a few sleep gowns and side snap t-shirts (that I registered for) and love those because he wears the t-shirts with everything and we use the gowns every night.

We got tons of gender specific clothes as soon as he was born (in all sizes, since he was 9lbs many people skipped the NB size which is great).
