My gf just had a dd and named her Jaela and I thought it was cute. I haven't seen it on here and thought it was cute and might give someone a name option...

That I wouldn't know how to pronounce it by just looking at the name ... "Hi-ella" or "Jay-la" or "Hi-la?"
This. I am a Spanish speaker who lives in a predominantly Spanish-speaking neighborhood in NY. I would automatically assume the "h" sound before anything else.
Thanks for posting it, considering you were only doing so to give people the option. But if you were ever considering naming your child the same name as your gf's DD, now you have plenty of advice about it! LOL
Re: WDYT of Jaela?
"Even miracles take a little time"
BFP 3/28/16 (EDD 12/9/16) * Chemical pregnancy
ME: 40 yrs.old
DH: 41 yrs.old
DD: 5 yrs.
Why is that?
Because it sounds like a character in a sci-fi novel.
I never would have thought of that. It just sounds like Kayla with a "J" to me.
It is made up. It's a mix of Jada and Kayla.
I would never use it but it's not horrible. Spell it Jayla, if you must, though.
nms
All I can think of is "jail bait." HUGE no on this one...

Jayla isn't that bad, but Jaela is ridic.
I hate when people smoosh two names together to make a new one.
