I don't know what The Nesting Place is. I did my classes at the hospital where I delivered, Baylor in Dallas. I loved the class, but I ended up w/ a c-section, so I didn't get to use too much of the info. We did get a tour of the hospital though & that was useful. The breastfeeding class was more useful to me.

This is why I decided to just take the BF class at Baylor Grapevine. I've read enough books on pregnancy and childbirth that I probably won't hear anything too surprising for my $120 and 6 hours. With all of my family and friends, the L&D nurses haven't been shy about giving directions and being helpful, so I'm not concerned.
I did the birthing class and the breast feeding class at The Nesting Place with Kay. She is WONDERFUL. Very knowledgable, very thorough, very nice. Not only did she go over birthing techniques, she went over all the MEDICAL techniques involved too ... so when I went in, I knew exactly what all the nurses were doing, and what I did and didn't want done. What instruments I wanted used, and which I didn't. We got a tour of Baylor GVine as well. My husband came with me to all the classes, which was great because he felt really prepared as well to help me through the process.
Check with your health insurance, they might help with the cost. I think ours paid for $75 worth of classes? Which was great. Anyways, I highly recommend her
