My husband recently came home and said he liked the name Kate. I like it too but our last name is one syllable too and is similar to this spelling: Tawch. My other concern is that Kate ends with the T sound and our last name begins with it making it run together....
I love the name but what is your opinion of Kate Doreen Tawch?
Also, our other choice (and the one we've called her) is Ellisen Taylor Tawch...which do you prefer?
Re: One syllable first and last name...
I like Ellisen Taylor.
However, I am insanely picky about my kids' names. They have 2 syllable first names, 1 syllable middle names, and a 2 syllable last name.,
Really? Kate Tawch? Try saying it aloud, it's too abrupt with both names being one syllable and the T's totally run into each other.
Ellison is ok, but the Ellisen spelling is pretty bad.
This
Don't like Elisen at all, especially with you u-neek spellilng.
I think of Kate as more of a NN, but better than your other choice.
i like the name Kate better
