got bad news from a client this morning (T&P's needed)

one of our beautiful clients has 3 kids and is pg again. she has a 5 yr old, 3yr old, 7 mth old and then 5 mths pg with the next one.
the two older kids were in the car with their dad last night and they were hit by a drunk driver. the 5 yr old died. the 3yr old is in critical condition with brain injuries. they expect her to survive but they are not sure the extent of her damages yet.
the mom was home with the baby so she's ok. not sure how the dad is. i assume he is ok, but not sure. the rest of the details are unknown by me at this time.
i have been crying on and off all day, why does this kind of stuff happen. i just did a prenatal appt with them on tuesday and when they got to the clinic the 5yr old ran up to me and gave me a big hug. we played a little during mom's appt and had a blast. they are a wonderfully sweet family.
eventhough i've been upset all day i still can't seem to fully grasp that Adam is dead.

oh no, I'm crying as I read this. Dh's nephew was killed by a drunk driver, and that was terrible, I can't imagine it being my child. I'll definitely keep them all in my prayers.

it's just so so wrong. poor little guy. he had his whole life in front of him. he had a lifetime full of memories to make. and in one bad decision by a random stranger it is all over. i pray that he went instantly and that he didn't suffer.

This is so tragic. I'm heart broken for the entire family. It's hard to lose a baby at 6 weeks...I can't imagine losing one after 5 years of hearing their laughter, seeing their smiles, or feeling their skin against yours as you comfort them. It's heartbreaking.
I will be praying for the family.

That is so awful
Lots and lots of thoughts and prayers.
9 months ago, one of my bff's sisters was driving to yosemite for with her bf, and her 2 kids, 5 year old son (also named Adam) and 2 year old Daughter, Christina. She had just had a molar pregnancy the month prior.
They were hit by some a-hole that decided he had to pass the car in front of him with no concern for other cars. Hit them head on. Her son was fine. Her Bf and daughter were both killed, she broke her pelvis, leg and an arm.
That is just so tragic, awful and unfair.

I could not imagine. I have such a fear of losing my precious child. I do not know what I would do if I lost her. I think I would lose it.
My prayers are definately with the family. Only God can heal such a broken heart.
