My due date is tomorroooooooooooooow!!
I had a dr appt yesterday and looks like our LO isnt quite ready yet... I will be delivering at Morristown and just wondered if anyone else has? or will?
Based on the "trial run" I had the other day (being monitored for blood pressure) its nice! big rooms, nice nurses.... there was a REALLY long wait time though.
My husband had to hunt nurses down a few times... meaning like... waiting up to 3 hours to ask if I can unhook myself to go to the bathroom. maybe its different if you are in labor... im sure i wasnt a huge priority!
Re: Hello! Anyone delivering/delivered at Morristown mem?
I didn't end up delivering there but I kick myself over and over again for not going there or st clares. I spent time at morristown though when i was pregnant with my twins in 08 because of high blood pressure and they were afraid i would deliver at 32 weeks and Hackettstown was not equiped for that. It was wonderful at morristown. I have had many friends delivery there and they loved it. With baby number 4 (not pregnant yet) we will go either to morristown or st clares.
Another note on morristown - my newborn that was born in november was taken to morristown when he was about 2 weeks old for projectile vomitting and ended up having pyloric stenioses needing emergency surgery. We spent a total of 9 days there between two different stays (he had staph infection from teh surgery later on) We had wonderful care there too
thanks ladies! thats reassuring!
I will def post my birth story- so stay tuned!
you waited 3 hours to go to the bathroom? that is just insane --- i would have pressed the nurse button after 5-10 minutes if i didn't get a response with a nurse in my room.
i delivered both my boys at MMH and spent many nights there during my first pg --- all times were great- the nurses were amazing.
Good luck!
I will be delivering there in May, and I would love to hear how your experience is! I had a good L & D experience there at 20 weeks ( I had some bleeding due to a placenta previa and went in at 4:30AM and was kept there for about 10 hours for observation). The nurses were wonderful; very attentive and the early morning nurse even went as far as to pull an ultrasound machine into the room and show me the baby was totally fine before going off her shift (I was FREAKING and a nervous wreck that something was wrong with the baby, and this totally calmed me down because as soon as LO came on the screen, she put both hands up as if to say, "Chill ma, I'm fine"). The rooms were really nice and roomy and the bathroom was nice too. We also just did our hospital tour and were very happy with the entire L & D part of the hospital.
I hope you have a wonderful experience and woul love to hear how it is in an actual delivery situation. Good luck!
I am delivering at MMH. I am due March 19th. I did not have a problem with waiting of finding a nurse. I have to be monitored for high blood pressure and everyone was very nice and easy going.
Hope all goes well
