I was wondering if any of you girls with PCOS are on a diet plan for weight loss?? I want to start a diet but I am not really sure what kiind would be the most effective!! Anyone have any advice?

    There are quite a few. Anything low glycemic is good for PCOS. There is the PCOS diet, the Insulin Resistance diet, south beach etc.

     Also to answer your question. Penguins basically go through hell and back to try to have a baby - hence its significance on this board. Read up on Emperor Penguins. It's just amazing. And lastly WELCOME. Hope your stay is short.Smile

    My RE had given me a modified south beach diet. Same concept, but phases 1 and 2 are switched.

    Multiple Clomid cycles of 50, 100, 150 - absolutely no response
    Follistim 50/100 | Follistim 75/125 | Follistim 100/150 IUI - all BFNs
    Converted IVF - BFP - m/c | FET - BFN | IVF #2 = BFN

    My OB put me on south beach diet for my PCOS and IR and it worked well. ?I really think it was a combo of that diet and met that got me to ovulate on my break cycle. ?I am getting ready to e-mail out a TON of SBD recipes that I got when I was a member of the SBD online group. ?if you want then e-mail me at ohiostategal60 at yahoo dot com. ?I should be getting that e-mail out Monday.
