So, my hcg levels are going down on their own, yeah.  The most recent was 95 to 46 in 48 hrs.  I go in tomorrow for another draw.  In my mind, I want to start bleeding to know that this may happen naturally and a sign that this is not an ectopic.  Someone said to me that I can miscarry without bleeding though.  That I just wouldn't have a menstrual cycle this month.  Is there any truth to this?  or would I have to have a d&c?  My levels never got very high, so a d&c doesn't really seem appropriate either...
I do see my Dr on Monday (who was out of town all week) so I am sure I will get some questions answered then, but I am soo paranoid about an ectopic... any thoughts?

This. I don't know the answer. I would call your doctor. I am sorry that you have to go through this. ((HUGS))
I am so sorry that you're going through this.
If you don't have a natural miscarriage (bleeding, like a period.) then I can only imagine you'd have to have a D&C. The bleeding is how things leave your body, if they don't that's really bad for you.
I'm not a doctor, but I'd have to believe it's impossible to miscarry without any bleeding at all----that doesn't even sound right. I mean it's possible to have a miscarriage with no bleeding (like as a warning sign that something is wrong) that's where the D&C comes in.

(((hugs))) I am so sorry. I think a missed miscarriage is what you are talking about, which is what happened to me. Essentially, the baby stops developing but your body doesn't really recognize it right away. It could take a while to start bleeding naturally. Some doctors will give you drugs to start a natural m/c or they will do a D&C.
I hope you get some better answers from your doctor. More (HUGS)
I agree with Shell.
I'm so sorry you are going through this again.

This also happened to me. They put me on medication for 48 hours to help me pass everything. GL and I too hope your dr. can give you a better answer. (((((HUGS)))))
I'm so sorry that you are going through this. The one thing I can share is my experience from my first m/c. I went in at 5 wks/6 days for spotting and Dr. did an ultrasound and couldn't find anything in my uterus. Of course, this made me worried about an ectopic (my mom had had one) and the Dr. was a bit worried too but couldn't see anything from the ultrasound. They drew blood for a beta and when it came back at 401 the Dr. told me not to worry about an ectopic because my HCG level was much too low for that - that with an ectopic, HCG levels will look normal at least for a little while so that 401 at 5 wks/6 days meant that it could not be an ectopic.
So, hopefully with your HCG levels, it means it is just a "normal" m/c. Again, I am sorry you are going through this. (And it's sad when the "good" news is that it is just a m/c)
Yep this happened to me as well. We found out there was no heartbeat on Monday and I started bleeding on Wednesday and had a natural m/c the next Tuesday.
T&P- I am so sorry this is happening to you.
