3rd Trimester

Anyone else's LO still really high up?

I had my 37 week appt on Tuesday and the Dr. said he could feel baby's head but he was still really high up.  This guy has been high the entire pregnancy but I'm starting to get a little worried that he's not going to drop and I may end up with a c-section (this happened to a friend of mine).  Anyone else in a similar situation?

  • I'm still pretty high, and I only had a few BH contractions.. I know these things don't really mean anything but I'm getting worried!

  • I was told she was high in the pelvis on Monday.  Funny, I thought she dropped, but it's hard to tell because I've carried so low the entire pregnancy.

  • Yep, I'm still really high.  Thankfully, I have a sch c/s so I do have an end date!

  • Had a doc appointment today and he said the same thing, still high but head is down.
  • My baby is high up too. MW told me to help baby drop walk up hills and also spend time leaning forward on the yoga ball lots.

I've taken to bringing the yoga ball into the shower with me, laying a towel down for my knees and leaning fwd and swaying on it while the shower head is pointed at my hips. It's helped so much with sciatica and I can feel the pressure of baby on my organs shift to the front of my belly.I can see myself spending a lot of labor time in there!

  • My baby hasn't moved away from my ribcage in months.  She's transverse (I'm pretty sure...it will be confirmed on Monday), so I have a butt pressing up against my left boob and a head smooshing into my right boob.  It's so freaking uncomfortable!  My ribs ache all day long, and the only thing that helps is to lie down on my side...which is difficult to do at work.

  • at 37 weeks LO still has a few weeks to make his way down :)  i wouldnt worry about it.  with ds#1 i had no progress all the way to 40 weeks (like.. ZERO dilation/effacement, doc couldnt even feel baby's head, but did confirm he was head down) - i remember my appt was on a friday and I had an appt on the following monday to discuss induction.  the next day, saturday, i went into labor at 4am and by 1pm had my baby in my arms :)  obviously everyone is different.  but dont be discouraged - that baby can drop and pop out quicker than you may think!
