Pleease? I am 4 wks 6 days and looking for an OB (my GYN is not an OB). I scheduled an appointment with one, but I'm hoping to find someone who will see me at least earlier than 10 weeks...at least for a blood test. I don't really feel comfortable telling my family just based off of pee sticks, lol.

"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?...But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:26-27&33-34
Re: Cypress Area OB/GYN Recs?
I see Dr. Kirkman, she is off of 290 at the North Cypress Med Ctr. (281) 955-7900.
Since you would be a new patient they might get you in earlier, but otherwise she doesn't start seeing pg patients until 8-10 weeks.
Most (not all) OB's do pee tests in the office only. Unless you are having problems, I don't think most them do blood tests these days.

Your welcome!
I've been going to her for a little over 2 years now and I just went for my yearly last week. I was in and out of there within an hour! They used to have longer wait times but I think they are getting more efficient.I've had some issues with ovarian cysts since having ds and I told her my right ovary had been hurting occasionally and she whipped out the u/s machine right there and looked for herself to see if anything was going on. 2 years ago, I don't think she would have been doing that, she would have made me reschedule with her u/s tech or sent me to a lab. So she's advancing too! lol
If you have any problems or concerns, before your first appointment, don't hesitate to call them, they are usually good about working you in if they want to see you or if it's just a simple question they can answer the nurse will help you.
The nurse practitioner and the physicians assistant there are really good too. They try to alternate appointments during your pregnancy so you will see all three of them during your pregnancy.
I highly recommend mine. she is awesome and I can't say enough about her. She's located in Tomball and delivers at Tomball hospital which is also great! private rooms for everyone!

She is very personable and remembers me by name. She has her own practice and is always on call at the hospital, except weekends when she rotates with 8 other Dr's, but if you deliver during the week she will be there! GL and hope you find the right Dr for you!
