Seriously, its simple division!

So, the other night I'm getting a pedicure (ahhh...) and a lady asks how far along I am. I reply, "27 weeks.." She says, "Oh so like 3 months?" then she goes back to barking at the nail tech about her bunyons.

Seriously!?

Is it thaaat hard to divide by 4?? I get the blank stare at least 85% of the time when I tell people in weeks. Ah, that's Missouri education at its finest Wink

On a similar note, i was watching curling the other day, and they were talking about the pregnant girl on Canada's team. At one point, the announcer said she was due in May, and then he continued on to say she was five months along. I'm still scratching my head over that one.

I've given up telling people who've never had kids how many weeks I am. I just got a whole lot of blank stares followed by "how many months is that?"

Me too. She'd have to be almost 6 going on 7 by now! I'm May 29th and I hit month 7 next week. Sheesh.

You actually would have to divide by 4.28, being that there are 4.28 weeks in a month. At 29 weeks, I could either be considered 6.5 or 7.25 months, which is a pretty big difference. I just make it easy for myself and go to https://www.baby2see.com/weeks_months_convertor.html

OK I think we're talking generalities here, not mathematical specifics.
