So, I went to my 37.5 week check up (practically 38) and my midwife did an internal. I actually wasn't planning on getting any as I know they can mean nothing in terms of when labor will start, but after doing the GBS swab she just stuck her hand up there.
I was really surprised when she asked me "does your baby feel like she is going to fall out? Because she is at 0 station." Um, wow! I know it can mean nothing in terms of when labor will start, but she told me that unlike dilation (which one can walk around at 3-4 for wks) it is rare to go beyond your due date when your cervix is fully softened and the head is fully engaged at zero.
Anyone else experience this?
