Hi Ladies,
2nd tri girl who needs some more options on clothes. What has been some of your favorite stores through out your pregnancy?
I've bought most of my things so far at Old Navy and Gap but that's getting old and I need some variety. I haven't found anything I liked at Target. Consignment stores are a bust. I've bought a few things from Motherhood Maternity but I don't like most of their things, they seem like they won't last long.
I just need some other options. I'm 6ft tall if that makes a difference.
ETA: I never bought those flowing tops or empire waist tops becuase I never liked them so I am not able to wear any of my pre-pregnancy clothes except a few sweaters and it's getting hot here so those won't last long.
Thanks!
Re: What was your favorite maternity stores?
Kohls and the rouched sp? shirts from Motherhood.
Well, Target was one of my favorite places. But my all time favorite store on earth is New York and Company, and I still buy a lot of things from them, just in a size bigger. Also, I bought three pairs of maternity pants in the beginning of my pregnancy. It's been plenty to get me through.
All I ever really wear is leggings, an oversized sweater or shirt and my uggs. By far my favorite outfit
I bought almost 95% of my clothes from A Pea in the Pod. I bought a couple shirts from other boutiques in my city.
I love wearing tighter things to show off the belly. I wore a lot of cardigans over tank tops or t-shirts. I wore a lot of blouses. I am fashionable and I thought they had a lot of cute things for me.
I actually found some great things at Ross and Burlington Coat Factory (but you have to be in the mood to "search" through the racks). Also, check out https://www.asos.com it's a UK store, but they have cute stuff and great shipping prices!
Let's be honest...JCrew and Banana Republic. No, they don't have maternity lines. But they have TONS of stuff that work for pregnant bellies. I don't know what I would have done without JCrew painter tees--they're really long and stretchy and comfy. And BR has lots of blousy (not necessarily empire) shirts and dropwaist dresses.
Also, try Target's online maternity selection--MUCH better than in stores, and with some really top-grade designers. I bought stuff and returned in store if needed.
And...for things like nicer dresses and hardcore basics, I either went to Pea in the Pod, Nordstrom, or a boutique in my area called Appleseed Maternity (google them--they have a great website).
I can't stress it enough--DON'T BUY TOO MUCH TOO SOON! I've never really needed maternity clothes, and 2 supercute dresses I bought that are maternity never really fit right. Buy what you need when you need it.
THIS!!!
I can't remember which board posted this but their clothes are so cute.

Not sure how comfortable you'd feel about ordering things online but it's hard to find anything decent looking in store in our area.
