  I've been to two or three and hosted two. It depends a lot on your circle of friends/family and what stage of life everyone is in. They seem to come in groups, much like weddings.

  A few years, there will be NONE, and then suddenly theres one on every weekend it seems.

  I'm currently in a wedding/baby shower lull.

  Good point.  Now I just need to have some friends with little baby girls.  There is so much cute baby girl stuff out there that I'm dying to buy.
