mastitis killed my supply.

if you had it, did your supply nosedive too? if so, please tell me it bounced back once you were on the mend.
this morning there is considerably less swelling and no pain with pumping, so that's prmoising. but after 30 mins of pumping, i have 2 1/2 oz compared to my usual 6+.
major suck.
tangent: camy is 6 months today!!!

boooo! i've never had mastitis, but i get a plugged duct like every other week. i can notice a difference for about a day once it unclogs, but it always comes back within 24 hours. i just try to drink lots of liquids, who knows if it actually helps.

It wasn't mastitis for me, but when my son was 3 months old I got a nasty virus and was sick for a good 10 days before I started to get better. My supply dropped noticeably. It went right back to normal after I got better. My supply was a lot more resilient than I thought it could be.
I'm sorry! I have no experience but I hope it comes back as the others have said!

yes my supply came back eventually after i had mastitis (4 freaking times!). so yes, there is hope. just keep nursing on that side. hopefully you feel better soon!
