I tell everyone - family members included - that you can't feel Ms. K on the outside so they won't touch my belly.  I even back away when they have their hands on my belly, asking if she is moving. 

I have done it so often that no one in my family has felt her move, Timm is the only one.

I feel bad about this but I get so uncomfortable having people's hands all over my beast.

Ahhh, I feel so much better getting that out there now. HA!

    Honestly, I think this is brilliant.  I don't want to be touched, and am honestly thinking of ways to avoid it as much as possible.

    Good idea! I'll have to remember that one. I honestly find it really strange when I see anyone other than a spouse touch a pregnant woman's belly. I don't even like hugs (long story), so people touching me would be really weird and uncomfortable.

    Love it! I'm a stickler for personal space. People are only allowed in my bubble if I invite them....lol You can bet I'm going to be using that line when I have a beast of my own!

    My dad and I were just talking tonight about how inappropriate it is for people to touch a pregnant woman's belly without being invited to do so.  I think you came up with a great solution!

    I never stopped being amazed at how ridiculous it was that complete strangers thought it was appropriate to walk up to me and touch my belly!  I have never done that to a pregnant woman nor would I ever!

    I have only had one stranger touch me, and I really don't get that.  But people I know don't bother me.  But I do think that is a great idea, although I think a lot of people would see through it.

    I'm totally stealing this tactic!  I HATE it!  I don't have enough of a belly to touch so I can't understand why anyone needs to put their hands on me!

    You'd be surprised!  Sometimes people ask, "when will she start moving?"  And I just say, "oh she moves, you just can't feel it on the outside yet."  I think it also helps that I tell people how far along I am in weeks, not months, and they aren't quick enough to do the math.  So maybe they figure it out when I am already gone?

    Simply brilliant!!  This will prevent BJ from having to throat punch people when they touch me lol.
