Mommy Time Check In

DH was home today sick. DS is getting what looks like 4 TEETH. Sooo it was THAT kind of day. I went to my babsitting job for an hour and got to leave DS with DH. That was nice. However, while I was there I started to feel sick myself. I'm feeling terrible now and am terrified I'm going to wake up sick tomorrow. So...my mommy time will be going to bed VERY VERY early!

    I have the cat in the basement, DH will be home soon and DS is in bed.  This leaves me on the couch ignoring (mostly) the mess that surrounds me and listening to the women's hockey game for the Olympics.  I know the mess will wait for later--or maybe even tomorrow.

    Can we have a whiny time check-in, too?!?!  I have a feeling I'm way too whiny today.   :)

     

    "Me" time today will consist of going to a mandatory Orientation for Emily's Preschool (starting this fall) tonight for 2 hours.  WTH?  2 hours... to discuss what, exactly, it's Preschool not Harvard!!!  argh...  I'm still suffering from Pneumonia, can ya tell?   :)

    Yikes! I'm glad you got a chance to step away for a bit even if it was for babysitting. I hope you don't get sick!

     

    Nothing too exciting in terms of down time for me. Just sitting around surfing and relaxing after dinner while DH wrangles the kiddos.

    DD didn't nap this afternoon, so my mommy time is happening right now while DH is out playing bball and she is asleep.  I'm just sitting on the couch being lazy. 

    Can we talk about our Saturday mommy time already???  LOL  I'm meeting friends for a children's consignment sale Saturday morning, then we're going to brunch (our DH's are watching the kids).  Then DH and I are going to dinner and a show Sat night.  I will have two big chunks of mommy time that day!!!  Big Smile

    I played on the computer for a little bit this afternoon while Ben napped.  Now I'm sitting on the couch on the computer again.  I'm logging off in a few minutes to go get a nice hot shower and climb into bed with my book.

    Im looking forward to tomorrow however, when I have 20 minutes planned to paint my nails. Nice.

    I got up early (after a full nights sleep-yay!) and worked out.  Then I showered.  No one bugging me.  Peace and quiet.  All before the kids got up:)

    I keep forgetting this board is here.

    DD is sick and has been stuck to me like glue all day.  So my me time consists of sitting on the couch for the evening ignoring the mess in the kitchen, the laundry in the dryer waiting to be folded, and the 2 loads of laundry that still need to be washed.

    Ate cake and watched Mad Men on DVD (2x - once at lunch and once in the evening after bedtime).  Yup I'm pregnant and I had 2 big slices of cake today... :)
