when did your LO actually enjoy the zoo for the first time

because I need to know whether or not to bring him this weekend (we are taking DHs little bro) or let him go to gramma's.

    I took dd all the time during her first 5 months. We took her last summer when she was about 13 months old and she enjoyed it. we are going to have her 2nd birthday party there. I think your son will enjoy it ; )

    DS really started getting into it when he could walk around on his own instead of being stuck in the stroller.  He loves it now!  We go several times a week.

    We have a membership and go frequently. We haven't been since mid-Nov due to weather, though. We went on Sunday and DD (15 months) LOVED it. She couldn't get enough animals. As soon as we saw one, she'd start signing "want more."

    I think that's about the age the others were when they really started enjoying it, too.

    I'd take him. We took DS to the zoo for the first time on his first birthday.

    When he was about 15 months old. That was when he really started to love it. He kepts ooooing and ahhhing at the animals, and had a blast!

    We took her right before she turned 1 and she was mildly entertained. She would look at the animals and point at them.

    I took Ian on Saturday and he liked the monkeys, giraffes and the aquarium.  He got bored after that so we had to leave.
