i saw this once on a list of pregnancy "don'ts" but i'm not sure whether to believe it--the idea is that ingrown hairs could hurt the baby, but it seems kind of far-fetched to me . . . did you ladies wax when pregnant? as long as i'm bloated and feel ugly, i'm clinging to anything that makes me feel well-groomed, LOL.
Re: can i really not wax when i'm pregnant?
OUUUUUUUUCH!
I can't even think about waxing right now - I just got my eyebrows threaded and it hurt so bad that I cried. and I used to be a brazillian bikini girl without blinking an eye.
Also, I think the worry is also about infection...
4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!
sFET 11/9/11 - Beta 11/18 BFP!
I don't think that it has anything to do with hurting the baby, but more that your hormones are crazy and it will hurt like a SOB. However, I don't know for sure...
The other thing that I have heard is that you should wax or shave too close to delivery b/c then you could develop an infection. Not sure how true this is, but I believe I heard it as part of the Bumpie grapevine.
