  DS recently started doing this about 3 weeks ago. If I give him my arms, he lifts his arms up to me. It is so cute.

  I just noticed this today!  But its not like its his idea to lift his arms for me to pick him up - its more me saying - want to come up? - with my hands extended to him.  And he def raises his arms in agreeance!  (when i take him out of the crib, high chair, or excer saucer)

  I look forward to when its his idea!  And then I guess we will dread it bc it will be constant!

  Umm maybe around 7 months - it was cute and sweet at first. Then around 8 months it start to accompany a whine - it is no longer cute and sweet LOL

  5-6 months, but it's always been more of a reaction to me walking toward her and reaching down than her thinking, "huh, I'd like to have Mama pick me up now".

  7 months. And they do it when we say "Up" also.

  He lifts his arms up and out - not straight forward and up.  If that makes sense?  But it started around 6 1/2 months I think?

  About 7.5 mos.  Now he's almost 9 mos, and every time I go to get him from his crib when he wakes up, he's standing up with his arms stretched up to me.  I love it!
