Question: would The Bump ever consider a board for
Disabled Parents?
I know there is High Risk Pregnancy, and Special
Needs (for parents of SN kids) but I know 2 others on here in wheelchairs and I'm sure there are plenty of other moms (and dads! - or mothers with disabled partners) that would be dealing with physical, mental, and learning disabilities or parenting with chronic illness.
I've posted to the Special Needs board but rarely get help there - I'm more likely to offer help to parents facing what I've been through. But I'd love a place to talk to other parents to find out how they are adapting to parenting.
Wow Bump Liz, good for you!!! I'm thinking about TTC, and my baby is only 5 1/2 months old... is that crazy?!? I figure do it while I'm young and have the energy. I'm a SAHM and know I need to go back to work sometime in the future, so I'm thinking what the heck. (UGH!)

We are open to any new boards that have several members interested. If you know others who would use this board, have them email community@thebump.com. Thanks!

I just wanted to personally say THANK YOU for finally moving the PPD support board over to a more visable clickable link with all the other boards. It is now SO MUCH more accesible and easily found for those of us who need help.
I'm Bump Shannon and I have a 4yr old daughter and 6 yr old son. I've seen just about everything from colic to sleeping issues, to food strikes and nursing difficulties. I love getting together with moms and sharing what we've learned!
Totally understand your concern! I didn't get the nerve up until my very challenging son was a year old, but if you are going back to work eventually I think it makes sense to make the total time off as short as possible to keep your resume marketable. I was so lucky to be at home for 4 years but only at the cost of major debt! :0
