Keeping It Real---Contentment

I read her blog from time to time. I thought this was a fantastic post and it feels so real. I feel the same way she does about the housing situation, but proud to say that I'm getting better at accepting and REALLy trusting the Lord. Now, there are days that I question stuff but for the most part, I'm learning to trust everything to God and focus on the blessings in our life.

Actually, I didn't give up anything for Lent....but what I'm trying to do is to focus on fostering my relationship with God. I'm not a very spiritual person but I'd like to be. I really admire some of the girls on this board who has such strong faith.

  • I can totally relate to that, too!  I think about all of the big things that happened in my life over the past 10 years or so and wonder what you "look forward to", so to speak, once you know you are done having kids.  What is next?  Retirement?  That may be a long way away.  I agree that I will treasure the milestones that my child(ren) hit, too, but don't want my life to only be defined by their lives.  I have my career, but life is more thank work, too.  Anyway, thanks for posting, Donna.  Good luck with your housing situation, too!
