LO is going to sleep between 6:30 and 7:00, with her last bottle just before she goes down. She is wanting to get up at 5:30 every morning and our pedi told us to hold her out until at least 6. So she is CIO right now but I made her a bottle.
Does it make sense to only give her half of what she usually drinks so she can keep her normal bottle schedule? If I give her the first morning bottle now, EVERYTHING will change!!!
Maybe she'll go back down for a bit if I just give her a little to hold her over. Or, worse case, she'll wake up after I feed her a bit, play for a while.. have her first "morning" bottle and then nap at her usual time?
Im lost. Any advice would be great!
Re: I need any advice.....
Thanks!
I decided to try to just give her a half bottle and she did fine with that. Went right back down and is still sleeping. We've been kind of lucky with her sleeping, so that's why I wanted to keep her as close to her routine as possible. Now she'll probably eat again close to her usual times.
Who knows though, what worked today might not work tomorrow!
That's DS's normal schedule. To bed at 6:30 or 7:00 and up at 5:30. If we give him a bottle, sometimes he'll go back down till 7:30 or 8:00 and sometimes he won't. We just start his routine at about 6:00 am.
His schedule is changing, though. He's starting to wake up a little later--more like 6:00 or so in the morning.
I'd listen to your pedi instead of some random internet people, but if it were ME, I wouldn't let DS CIO. That just means that I'm laying in bed not sleeping for 30 minutes until I eventually get up and feed him anyway.
You might be able to get up with him and slowly make his bottle so he can see that you're going to feed him. If you delay it till 5:45 for a few days and then till 6:00 for a few days, it might help him ease into a 6:00 am wake-up time, but you might just be stuck with a baby who wakes up early.
