Ugh I had a TOTAL NIGHTMARE induction with DD (started at 39 weeks for bp issues)- four days, pitocin, cervadil, foley bulbs - and no pain meds that ended with a baby in the NICU. I seriously will cry if I have to have another one so keep that dust to yourself.
Some of us are "so over being terrified about our health and the health of our LO so we just want to know we'll all be safe and healthy when this whole thing is over."
Which...I would like to be now.
I'll take whatever dust you've got. Labor, induction--just get this kiddo out of here and healthy.

Don't worry.. It's just for those who want it. I am sorry for your negative past experience.

Oh we have a winner here folks! Ding ding ding!
You get a little extra, Urban. Nobody wants you to get upset and pass out over it. :P

Yes, I just want to make sure none drifts my way I seriously had the worst induction ever but almost everyone else I talk to has a great experience so good luck to everyone!

Don't worry; I think the girls that want it have the market cornered.
But seriously, GL to you. I hope you get the birth experience you want this time around.

HAHAHAHA! Just trying to keep things lively. Seriously...I can hang in there...I think...if I can just stay upright...
Right now I could care less if I am induced or go into labor naturally. I just want to have baby instead of being freaked out every day counting movements/ weekly sonograms/ and constant fetal monitoring.
Give me all the dust you have - induction dust/labor dust/magic dust

From someone who just was induced. It was no fun! but the wonderful gift at the end was totally worth it. And I didn't have to have a c-section. Sure it took 35 hours to get to the pushing...but my nurses and doctors didnt give up. And I am so happy with the vaginal birth.

For most of the ladies this post was intended for, their pregnancies have not been fun either. Lots of problems. But I am glad you got a vaginal birth! Congrats on your LO!

I was induced due to being past my due date and it wasn't that bad. I think that if you're dilated enough and have a responsible doctor, you'll most likely have a positive experience.
I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow and if my BP is still slightly high, they're going to induce me. I'm already 3cm and about 60% effaced. I am lost my MP tonight with some bloody show so who knows? I may not need the dust
Good luck on Friday, Annie. I would have thought they would have induced you the last time you were in L&D.
Thank you Annie! This is perfect timing for me. I'm crossing my fingers that it works. I go in today to talk to the Dr. to see if they first *still want to induce me*, and if they do, if I'll be induced tomorrow or early next week.
Since it's for medical reasons - high bp, constant headaches, etc., I'm ready to be done ASAP. But, part of me is willing to wait for next week so I can have a better chance of our LO being born on 3/2/10. I'm type A enough that that would be an awesome birth date!
Re: For All Those Wanting To Be Induced:
You know Annie, I know we are all uncomfortable, etc... but seriously, INDUCTION DUST?
Do you WANT your baby to have to end up being born by emergency c-section, just because you were "so over being pregnant"?!
Ugh.
This!
...Yes? Hehehe!
Actually, I'd prefer scheduled. Torch away!
This is more appropriate-
and it won't be delicious- in fact it might even make your mouth taste metallic- but enjoy!!!
Mmmm Yum! No-more-pregnant-juice.
Can I get a couple cans? I don't care if it tastes bad. I'll wash it down with a Margarita when I'm done.
Some of us aren't "so over being pregnant."

haha - i just thought of it too
but on a serious note - i'd like to have a spontaneous labor kick in some time soon (induction free). Did not enjoy the induction with # 2 at all!

I am SOOOO with you on that one! Preferably blended, with salt.
