Just popping in from 3rd tri and wondering what products are a must have and what one's you can do without. All the stuff out there is so overwhelming! Thanks mama's!

My favorites are the Boppy and her swing (Fisher Price My Little Lamb Cradle 'n Swing). She LOVES her swing!! Also I like the Boppy brand changing pad liners (so easy to wash and saves my changing pad from repeated washings), and my glider rocker.
I agree with pp that Huggies diapers are my least favorite, she has had blowouts with them too (I have switched to Pampers and it's soooo much better).

Love: Boppy Extra boppy covers Woombie (swaddle alternative) Activity Mat Swing (I blogged about it) Sleep n' Play style outfits Pacifiers (but not soothies, LO hated those) Cloth diapers Pampers Swaddlers Receiving blankets- use them all the time! Toys with bells inside them
Loathe: Bouncer Co-sleeper (bed sharing so far and then will transition to the crib... this thing jus takes up space) Short sleeve tops Outfits that don't have feet attached Miracle blanket- too restrictive, LO would fight it all night
Susan & Mark ... Married June 14, 2008 ... Chicago Area James Tomasz born 1-5-10 Grace Dorothy born 7-13-11
Love: pack 'n play with newborn napper and changing table, swaddle me, sleep gowns that button down and have hand mittens attached, sleep sheep, nursing tank tops, the Baby Whisperer (book), Summer digital video monitor
Like: pampers swaddlers, wubbanub and gum drop (like soothie) pacifiers, playtex drop-ins bottles, medela pump in style, gas drops, baby einstein play mat, baby jogger city mini, bouncer, swing, Ergo baby carrier, boppy
Dislike for the very beginning: outfits without feet, outfits that don't button down, Baby Bjorn
Favorite: my Moby, her Wubbanubs/Soothies, Happiest Baby on the Block, the extra large swaddling blanket our doula made for us, zippered sleepers (nothing worse than trying to get all the buttons buttoned back up right when you are tired), bouncy chair, pack n play with changing table and napper, our Homedics Sound Spa (puts and keeps DD asleep for a lot longer than without it).
Dislike: Infant socks and outfits without feet (DD's feet get cold and the socks always fall off), baby shoes, the Sophie teether giraffe everyone is all a rave over (I think it is because I feel jipped, it is nothing more than an overpriced cheap plastic squeaky toy that I would find in a dollar bin at Wal-mart for my dog.)
Faves: halo sleep sacks, white noise cd, Happiest Baby on the Block (seriously, this has been life-changing for us), newborn boppy lounger, gripe water, mylicon, aquaphor, Fisher Price Seahorse.
Hate: Huggies diapers (at least for my boy) and the SwaddleMe blanket--he hates it and we got like 10 at our showers! (learned the hard way to keep things in packaging/keep receipts until you know for sure...)
Okay, so if I have to pick just one favorite: Miracle Blanket (could not live without it). And one least favorite: Moby Wrap (I know, lots of people love it - my LO, not so much).
Other favorites: Fisher Price Seahorse "Baby Crack Machine" Medela PISA My Brest Friend
Other least favorite items: Huggies Diapers Boppy (doesn't fit me right) Receiving Blankets

car seat (only placer LO will sleep), Mam pacifiers, Ocean Wonders play gym, zippered sleepers, Target diapers, mirrors, Baby Einstein movies (we only allow in very limited quantities)
Hate:
Huggies, swadle blankets, I thought Happiest Baby OTB was a waste of time (it had no effect on DD), Baby Bjorn (hopefully DD will like this later because it was $$),
Basically what I have learned thus far as a mommy is that each baby responds completely differently to things. Don't rush out to buy all these "must have" things because many babies (like mine) just want to be held and may not enjoy swinging, bouncing, sea horse, etc. I felt I spent so much time and $$ getting all these "necessities" and we don't even use them. Maybe as she gets a little older we will. Maybe you could try out some of these items from a friend before investing a ton of $$ or save your reciepts!
used this with both LO's. It was a must for us due to the amt that we travel with LO.
Changing Table. This is in my living room with an arrangement of cute baskets that hold all LO's clothes, cloth diapers, everything! Much better than trying to jam everything into the pack-n-play. No point putting it in the nursery...that's not where we "hang out". Plus my hubby and I are both over 6ft tall so we need a place high off the ground to change LO.
ZIP-UP SLEEP SACKS!: we need like 20 more of these!
Did not need: Pack-n-Play (never-ever used it with either LO)
Outfits with 10,000 snaps. Yeah, cuz your baby will sit perfectly still and be happy why you are snapping their outfit for 10 minutes.
Re: What's your favorite baby item? Least favorite?
