Do you disinfect all of DC's toys after illness

After your LO has gotten over his/her ickies, do you disinfect/wash all of their toys?

I just want to know what to do w/ all of G's stuff after he gets through HFMD. The plastic/wooden toys will be easy to spray/wipe down, but I don't really know how to handle some of the cloth/electronic toys like his Scout -- I can't exactly shove that in the washer.

So... do you go through the due diligence of de-lousing your home after an infectious illness and if so, how?

    i do...stuff like that, i do my best..take a washcloth and use laundry detergent and hot water to scrub it down..everything else gets coated in anywhere spray :)

    we did after a nasty stomach bug ripped through our house...i did NOT want that coming back!!  what's HMFD?  did i miss something?  sounds like hand foot mouth disease, but with foot/mouth swapped.
    Childhood cancer (DH) + chemo + radiation = 0 sperm.
    LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
    LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
    Life is beautiful!

    I do it the lazy way, and some people disagree with it because it's antibacteral, but I use Clorox wipes on all her toys after she is sick.  Apparently it's not working cause she's been sick all winter....

    Eh, once he's over whatever he had I figure he has all sorts of immunities to it at that point - so I'm pretty half-asssed on the disinfecting front - LOL!

    Nah, that's me mispelling. I meant hand/foot/mouth.

    Thanx for your responses. So what do you guys use? I was thinking Clorox wipes too, but Christa are they really that ineffective?

    Well it's not that they are "ineffective", it's that a few people think that if you use antibacteral things such as handsoap or Clorox wipes, you are creating breeding grounds for a whole new outbreak of a potentially deadly flu.  I think it's a load of crap, but it's a theory some have.

    I used disinfectant wipes on the whole house after the stomach bug visited...not only for Cal's sake, but for ours too.  I read that sometimes if your immunity is still compromised you can relapse if the germs are still around, so wanted to make sure that wasn't the case.
