Whats the best option for bf moms in your opinion. Im not into the plasic thing they insert into you, thinking more about a pill, just dont know whats out there. Also, what are the side effects of the pills? I had to take ortho low before becuase Id get all emotional right before a period, haha.

    I've been taking the mini pill for the past 6 weeks and haven't noticed any side effects

    I think only the minipill is approved for BF moms.  That is what I took after DS. The reg pill causes supply drop.   We haven't been using anything but I am getting a tubal on Friday.

    If you are bfing, your options are basically minipill, IUD or condoms.  I am on the minipill for now and am considering the Mirena IUD.

    Thanks, I knew you couldnt take regular bc, but I didnt know my options. I read something saying the minipill is only 87% effective. I am so not ready to be preggers again, guess I better double up!

    Honestly....the IUD is not that bad when getting it put in.  It takes a few minutes and you're done...no pain.  I don't have to worry about taking a pill and no hormones to screw with me..
