Anyone getting the Munire Rockport crib in Sea Mist?

It's my #1 pick for a girl and I'd like to know what you're doing for bedding!

We got a Munire for our son and have no regrets; it's a great crib.

  • Oh my goodness that crib is gorgeous! Is that brand pricey? I think browns and whites with pink would look really pretty with the crib. Or you could do yellow with it, or purple even!

  • OOOO I love that!  I really wanted that if we were having a girl.
  • I'm in love! I absolutely love that color!

    That's going on my list.

  • Thank God I'm not crazy!

We have it on hold and are waiting for our local store to get a sample in so we can compare some bedding samples. I love the pictures but haven't seen the color in person.

I'm nervous about committing to something a little different, but at the same time, love how unique it is.

Anyone seen photos of it in nurseries besides the brochure??

  • Yay! People love it as much as I do! It's a little pricey ($599) but it converts into a full sized bed. Isn't it beachy and lovely? I don't know what I'm having but if it is another boy I'm going to get the same crib in natural.

I emailed Munire and the bedding in the brochure is custom, so boo. I'm thinking for crib sheets a white or cream background with bright pink/coral floral pattern. For a crib skirt, which I think I can make, sage green and white stripes. For drapery I think I'm going to do light pink panels with a dark coral/pink wide stripe at the bottom (that's for the sliding doors that go out to a little balcony) and for the rest of the windows, coral/pink roman shades. Pale pink walls.

    Any other ideas?

  • munire makes great furniture! we would have gone with them, but their dressers are 60 inches and we had space in our little niche for 59.99 (seriously).

  • These are my top three bedding choices so far. They're pricey as well, but we will buy a la carte and cut out $100+ since we're not getting the bumpers. We'll put that $$ toward sheets.

Luckily since they are pricier, you can order samples of all the fabrics! H and I already ordered them and are taking them to our store to compare.

They just started doing 44" 3-drawer dressers. That's what we got with our package.

Oh, I know, but that would have been too small for what I wanted. I wanted to fill that space as much as possible, and I wanted a more substantial piece. I ended up falling in love with a Bellini set, so no complaints here!

  • No problem. Can't wait to hear if other people go with this crib (and to hear if you have a girl so you can)!

I think as soon as we see if the fabrics do match, we'll make the jump.

  • I love Love Birds! I was looking at that the other night. The only thing that bugs me a teeny bit about Munire cribs is that you really can't see the crib skirt, especially with the mattress in the lowest position.

If you have baseboard don't forget to include that with your measurements. I learned my lesson the hard way on an entertainment center. 900$ later and pottery barn wouldn't take it back.

I will totally have to look at that more closely now. Maybe it's not worth the $$? I love the curtains in the Love Birds set, too, so that would justify getting those...
