I want to work for Google

Why aren't they ever hiring?

But I am like overly qualified. At least if they are hiring for a job that is just searching every single subject ever to see how well their site works. I could totally do that job and those benefits, oh my lordy, those benefits would be spectacular.

::shakes fist at water cooler:: possibly the only benefit of my job.

  • I got a call from them once about a job - they saw my resume on Monster.  The benefits had me all jazzed up but DH would not even entertain moving to Mountain View, CA.  Crying

DUDE. You should have given them my number. Well, now you know who you can refer them to.

    Next time.

    Definitely next time.

  • I just toured their facilities about a month ago.  Intensely awesome, but very cult-like.  Free food, dogs roaming around, everything organic.

But we don't fit the mold.  Everyone there was mostly in these categories:
    male, 25 and Indian/Asian.

  • my mother used to work there and i would go visit her for lunch.  they always had a great salad bar and awesome dessert table (free, of course).

but the kicker was their in-house masseuse. who wouldnt want a back massage in the middle of their day?

  • Mountain View is a fantastic place to live!  I too would love to get a job there, but I have a few friends who work there and I love visiting for the free food.

  • I just applied there today for the Interactive Designer position. Does anyone know anyone who works there so that they can put in a good word for me?
  • I'm pretty sure everyone who works there is a workaholic. Despite the amazing campus and great benefits, I'd shy away from a place that has employees' toothbrushes in the bathroom because they literally live there.

  • You realize they give you all these perks so that you will never. go. home. right?

Which may be fine & dandy for a young single, but not great for someone with a family that they actually want to spend time with.
