BF Moms who have survived the flu

What did you do to get your supply back up and going?  I had the flu two weeks ago and ended up with severe dehydration that sent me to the hospital for iv fluids.  My supply has taken a serious hit...I used to get at least 16oz per day pumping, and now I'm barely making 8 if I'm lucky.

Did you have to use any supplements to increase your supply?  I'm trying to avoid fenugreek if possible as DD's tummy is already pretty sensitive and of course the maple syrup smell isn't fun either.  Any tips/tricks you can share would be great!

Re: BF Moms who have survived the flu

  • I used to barely get 8 oz a day pumping at work.

after 2 weeks of the flu, yesterday I only got 4 oz total all day.   Yikes.

However, this morning I'm feeling so much better and in my first pumping at work this morning got 4 oz.   Got 2.5 on my 2nd pumping.   2 more to go - so I should be back around 10 oz total today.

    All seems fine here now.
