...I am. The reason I missed the drama today was because I had to go pick my 14 yo son up from school. Two weeks ago He poked holes in a bus eat with a pencil and we had to pay for it to be repaired. Yesterday, he wrote on the carpet in his school library with a red ( THANK GOD NOT PERMANENT) marker. When asked why: "I don't know." He has been suspended for the rest of the week. He also has developed the habit of not doing his work at school so despite being gifted, he fails at least one class a quarter. We have already taken away all privledges and my DH is threatening military school instead of the local HS next year.

I feel like a failure as a parent.

Oh, and my Youngest DS lost his "coin wallet" with his collector's coins in it while we were shopping today. Value $100+. He threw a major fit and some how the loss became either my fault or God's. Now the 4 yo DD is whining because I won't let her spend time with the 14 yo (who is pretty much grounded for life). I ca't wait for the 15 yo DD and my DH to get home to see what they dump on me.

And MF has set up residence so I feel like crap physically, too. Knowing my luck, I am KTFU and all this stress (plus the diet coke and candy I keep shoveling down) is either slowly killing it or causing it major trauma.

I am sorry you are having a rough day! Can you add a little rum to your Diet Coke?? Or wrap up in a blanket and hide?? I hate how when it rains it pours. I hope your evening gets better!

Wow! 14 is tough, I use to teach 7th & 8th grade, some of the stuff they did was mind boggeling. I'm sorry your day is so complicated.

My sister taught 7th and 8th for about 27 years and loved it. I really wish I could just skip those years with my kids. My son has an October birthday so he is just in 8th grade. We had rough times last year with his sister but nothing compared to this. High school seems to be a turning point and things got better after DD started this year. I'm not sure DS is going to make it to HS though!
