It doesn't recline, but I was able to use it successfully with both boys as soon as they were sitting up at all (it adjusts pretty small, so it fits even the little guys).
I love that has a small footprint (doesn't take up much floor space), is adjustable from infant to toddler, then you can take off the tray, and pull the child up to the regular table as they get older. Then, once they can sit safely (and stay sitting!) you can remove the entire tray portion, and it converts to a toddler-preschooler chair (basically a taller version of a normal chair). This has been a great feature, and it would easily fit even a school-age child. I also like that it looks like a piece of furniture when sitting at the table, rather than one more thing that screams "plastic baby crap"
Because of the removable plastic tray, it's pretty easy to clean up (without it, though, the wood takes some effort to keep clean).
Highly recommend it, and would buy it again in a heartbeat.
We have the Stokke version for DS (now 3) and like it for all the same reasons as the PP. We'll get a second one for DS #2 as soon as he can sit up unassisted.
