Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Do you have a bathing schedule for your baby?

Sunday and Wednesdays are soap baths. The other days of the week I just put him in the tub for a rinse, but some days he falls asleep at bath time and I let him go without.

What do you do?

  • My 1 and 2 y/o's get a bath every other night, unless they've gotten messy. On the nights they don't get a bath, I put LO in the tub with me. I'd say every other bath for him is a soap bath, although I put lotion on after every bath.
  • everynight. DH does the baths. I think he soaps him everynight. Haven't had any issues with dry skin or anything.
  • Sam had really bad ecxema, so I only did his 2x a week.  Eli calms down during bathtime (a blessing!), so we hit him up every night right in the middle of his witching hour and then paste him with lotion so he doesn't dry out.

  • Whenever he smells like ass, feet, or MIL or when I can remove tat cheesy-ness from his neck rolls. Averages about 2-3x a week.

  • every other day mid morning
  • Every other day, unless we have somewhere special to go, there's a blow out or she has spit up more than usual. Everytime I bathe her I always do a full wash with soap for body and hair.

  • She gets a bath every night. Now that her umbilical cord has fallen off I've just been taking her in the shower with me. She usually sleeps through it.

I wash her hair every night and I wash under her neck and behind her ears with soap (so she doesn't smell like rotten formula). I also wash her butt/vagina with soap every night. But, the rest of her body only gets soaped down every two or three days.

I don't blame him! I would fall asleep at the hair salon if it wasn;t frowned upon lol

  • We do every night.  I tried every other or every few but on the nights we gave her a bath she went to bed much better.  She loves her baths and does not have dry skin as of yet.
  • Typically it's Monday, Thursday and Saturdays.

  • every other night.  my kids are on a rotating schedule.
  • I give her a full out bath with lotion applied afterwards every other evening before bed. The other nights I wipe her face, hands, and neck down with a warm cloth before bed.
  • in the water nightly, soap every other.

No, I probably do.  I wash face and hands every night and soapy bath on Saturdays.  MY husband and I wash her together, she does't like the bath yet.  The reason only once is because the ped told us 1-2x a week with soap is enough because she doesn't have sweat production yet and it is still cold out (dry skin).  Once the weather is warmer we will increase her baths.  Also, ped said as long as her face, hands and diaper area are spic n span daily she is good at this age.
