To paint or not to paint?

This is a storyboard of the nursery components. As you can see it is a mix or modern and classic elements. At the moment the walls of the room are a warm beige but I was wondering if I should paint the walls. Originally, I was thinking about painting the walls a light blue but it seems like such an effort...

Should I paint? If so, which color would you recommend?
