This is what my Dh's grandma said to me the other day. Um......no my son is 7 weeks old, you don't give a 7 week old cereal. She told me that doctors tell you not too but they don't know anything. Pretty sure I won't be leaving him with her to babysit ever, or next thing I know she'd be giving him chocolate and ice cream!

Re: You are feeding him cereal right??
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

This. Right when we brought him home from the NICU MIL was asking why we werent giving him water or cereal yet. And my mom almost died when I wasnt using baby powder every.single.time.
My mom said that at 5 weeks we should begin giving him cereal. I told her I thought that was a little early and she said that's what she did with me.
Different times, for sure.
DH grandmother says that one of her daughters was allergic to formula and she didn't bf, so the dr told his grandma to feed the baby ginger ale. Supposedly the baby had nothing but ginger ale for months!
Times have changed! lol
My grandmother asked me why I wasn't feeding my 2 month old baby food yet!!? I said because they don't get that until they're 6 months old!!
However, because my son has reflux the doctor actually had me put rice cereal in with my breast milk starting at 4 weeks old. We tried that route instead of medication and it actually worked. I was pretty against it but not as much as I was against medication so I tried it!
