...With #1, I never had a bag packed and went into labor and had nothing at the hospital with me until after DD was born.

And I don't remember when I installed the carseat, I know it was before 36wks

Haha, I too had nothing packed (or installed) before having DD......and she came at a very reasonable 39wks lol. We both just completely assumed since it was my first baby that I'd go to 41 wks

This time I'll have it done probably around 36wks.

I'm having a c-section on the 8th and I just finally got around to packing my hospital bag yesterday but am not completely finished yet.

We actually just installed our carseat this past weekend. We couldn't do it any sooner because my parents just gave us their old CR-V on the 13th and we wanted to get it shampooed and cleaned before we installed the seat. So we finally did everything this past weekend.

hospital bag - no clue. i still need to buy a couple things for it (like nursing tanks/bra) but i think i will slowly start putting things to the side for the bag this weekend/next week.

I've already installed the car seat (got it inspected on Monday). I've put a few preliminary items in my hospital bag. All I have to do is throw some clothes, my computer, and my toiletries in there.

I'm thinking mine will be done somewhere around 32-34 weeks. My OB said to be prepared for an early delivery, "just in case". (Since I am already having contractions that get regular if I just walk too much!)

I'm in the process of packing my bag. I've got to do a load of laundry for a few things still (robe, pjs, etc.). I started when I got to 36 weeks.

We're installing the car seat next Thursday. That's when the car seat check class is offered. J's extremely paranoid about the car seat and making sure it's installed just exactly perfect. I think it's because of the car accidents he's been through in the past.

DD#1 came at 36wks, and I too assumed I'd be pregnant much longer hence why I had no bag packed LOL...I did have the carseat installed though...SO I'm thinking maybe I should have everything done by 36wks this time just in case this one decides to come a little early too.

We have the car seat and it's just sitting by the door, so I'm hoping to get it installed/inspected soon so it's out of the way. I haven't thought about packing a bag. I'm kinda not that worried about it; the hospital isn't that far away that DH can't run home for something. We're planning on him coming home at night, anyway.

Around 36 or 37 weeks. That's when I did it with DD, but she didn't arrive until almost 41 weeks. I'm having a c-section at 39 weeks, but just in case, I'll be ready early.

I'll probably pack my hospital bag around 34 or 35 weeks.

We bought the car seat last week and went ahead and installed it that day (29 weeks) just so we wouldn't have to store it in our apartment.

I'm a pre-packing stage right now for our hospital bag. I've been making a bunch of lists & making sure things are bought that I don't necessarilly have on hand (nursing tanks/pj's). I plan to actually pack the bag around 35 weeks.

As for the car seat... we'll probably install it around 36 weeks. Just incase.

We don't have a carseat yet. We're waiting until the end of March to see if we have a baby shower (a few people months back said to save some big items for baby shower gifts, that was our only big item left). If there's no shower, we'll go get the car seat in the beginning of April & install asap.

Hospital bag still not packed. I'll probably pack that between mid/late March.

I'm planning to do this at 36 weeks. I want to be sure that I have time to get to the fire station and have them check the carseat too just to be cautious.

I packed my bag last monday (at just over 37 weeks) when we were sent to L & D for observation. Since I was sent from the town I live in (our hospital is in the next town over) and I had to wait for DH to get home first, I packed a quick bag, in case. Then, we repacked it that night when we realized the ridiculous over packing I'd done.

I had DH install the car seat last Sunday (just over 38 weeks). I attempted to talk him into doing it before then, but he dragged his feet about it, claiming we didn't have to have it to go to the hospital, just to come home with.

With DS 1 at 35 weeks because I was put on bedrest at that time for contractions and was dialating. This time around I honestly haven't even thought about it. I will probably do it around the same time.

Last time I had my bag packed and the car seat installed by 35 weeks because we were going out of town and wanted to have them with us just in case. That ended up being plenty of time since DD waited until 41.5 weeks.

This time I'll probably do them in the next two weeks, so maybe by 37 weeks.

With #1 I was such a slacker on this because like other PPs I assumed my first one would come on or after her due date, not a week before. She was born at 1:40AM Saturday, that Friday night I was going through the list and throwing things into a bag, plus making an "emergency" run to CVS with DH for the remaining items. While I was in the hospital with DD, DH stayed home with our dog at night and came back to the hospital during the days. The carseat was installed by DH the morning he was coming to pick DD and I up from the hospital.

This time I plan on being more prepared and having things packed/installed by May 1 (due May 22). Hopefully that will be enough time.
