Indiana Babies

Would I actually use something like this?

I'm sure it'll be sold out by the time I get some replies but this is on baby steals and I think it's so cute. I just don't know how practical it is.
Would I ever use something like this?

Edit: supposedly you use it like a high chair starting from age 8 months or so.

  • LOL - I just looked at my email and saw that too!  I'm registered for something similar.

I love the look of that one, but I think it also looks like a ton of fabric.  I decided against going the baby steals route because I want to be able to stick something like that in a diaper bag, and I thought that one in particular looked like it would be really bulky folded up...just my $.02.

  • As far as being practical, it looks like the baby would still need a booster or actual high chair in order to be able to reach a table, but I could see that coming in handy in a cafe (like at starbucks or something)

  • Depends on the child.  No way my kid would allow himself to be strapped in like that without taking the chair down with him.  But then again, he's a high needs kind of guy (see the grumplestiltskin post, below, lol).  Plus, he'd just stain it.  Usually I just keep him in his stroller if he needs to be contained at Starbucks.
  • I don't think we would use something like that.  You'd likely still need a booster and I don't know how safe it would be.

  • My kid would get it so dirty that it would have to be laundered after every single meal.
  • I saw one and thought it was a good idea when Andrew was younger...until we actually started solids and I realize he needs to be higher (booster) and he needs a tray.

All of this.  Plus what the pp said about LO still needing a booster to be able to reach the table.
