we did a beach theme when we were expecting DS- the walls are orange and DH painted a baby blue wave all around. Furniture is white except for one bright jungle green bookcase!! I love it....the orange is suprisingly relaxing.
The builder of our house painted a room blue. It's a soothing blue but when we came to look at the house I told him I hated it. He said his son picked it. Lol. Never did I think I would be using a blue room for the nursery, but it matches the bedding perfect! I'm not doing a "theme", well, I guess I am kind of. His bedding is animals so we will see where this takes us. I got the Kidsline Jungle 123 bedding and I love it.
I don't know if we're having a boy yet, but in my gut I think it's a boy. Either way, we're going with a neutral Pooh themed nursery. We want it to be a calming place for LO to relax. Plus, we'll use it again when we go for a 2nd LO.
Our bedding pattern is light blue, a light green, and chocolate brown. We won't paint walls because we live in a rental house and will be moving a couple months after the baby comes, but we're just going to accent with as much of those colors as we can.
We are using chocolate brown and a light green (almost a soft lime, if that makes sense) as the two primary colors. We don't have a theme at this point.
I'm keeping the walls the off white/light beige they already are, and the bedding /decor we're using is mostly brown, green & beige (with cute little monkeys!)
Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless
I'm thinking brown and blue. I got some nice brown curtains and a cute blue/brown/white striped crib shirt. Probably just a neutral wall. I'm not really into the whole theme thing, but will keep these colors in mind during the decorating.
LO's nursery is blue and yellow. It's not that we planned it that way; the walls already had a blue chamois ragged finish I did a few years ago, and then I got a fantastic deal on some yellow curtain panels.
Walls are a soft green; no real "theme" but the quilt I got from Etsy has green, yellow, orange, blue, and brown. Sounds busy but isn't. Kind of an autumn color palette I guess.
We are using primary colors. The paint color is blue and then have red, yellow, and green accents. The decor is Dr. Seuss mostly and we have added some sports stuff and cars, planes, and trains.
The crib wall is Green with 1/2 a football field on it..the endzone says Jackson in Brown...then the other 3 walls are the same brown...accents are vintage football....
main wall is deep turquoise, other walls/doors/trim are cream. bedding is light turquoise, a pale lime green, sand, and chocolate. so, turquoise (deep dark, and lighter shades) pale lime green, chocolate and cream.
Re: If you are having a boy, what colors for nursery?
This is the same bedding we got. Our walls our a light green color with black furniture.
Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless
primary colors balanced by chocolate brown with white furniture with slate blue ceramic knobs, bedding is this
I got all of the pieces in that collection so imagine that collection with white furniture and lots of pops of red, navy blue, even gold tones.
Theme is bears, monkeys, and puppies.
basically this:
The crib wall is Green with 1/2 a football field on it..the endzone says Jackson in Brown...then the other 3 walls are the same brown...accents are vintage football....
The bedding is this:
