Where did you get your paper lanterns?

and how much did you pay for each of them?

i'm on bed rest and trying to find the best deal on the internet but am wondering if hobby lobby is cheaper.  so far, i think amazon wins, but i thought i'd ask you ladies before requesting yet another thing of DH and having him make a hobby lobby run.... ;)

Re: Where did you get your paper lanterns?

  • My sister got hers from the paperlanternstore.com and she loves them. They were not very expensive and I saw them last weekend. They look nice.

  • I bought some for my wedding reception at craftsnfavors.com. They are about $3.00 for the smallest ones and up to $7 for the big ones.
  • Ours are from asianideas.com.  They start at under $1 for white lanterns.  They have just about every color imaginable, and there customer service is great!

  • I also used paperlanternstore plus 1 big one from Ikea (I bought it to see if I liked the way the lanterns looked in the room before ordering).

Good customer service - they accidentily sent one in the wrong color and they quickly fixed it and sent the right one, and I got to keep the one that was wrong (and I hung it up too!).

  • I don't know if they are online, but I know World Market carries a lot of cool ones in the store. (I used to manage one) And they had some pretty interesting shapes last time I went in.
