Well, the bouncy chair/vibrating chair thing... if you get what I mean. (Can you tell I'm GREAT at describing things?)
Max keeps escaping from his, so I need to keep him strapped in (which seems uncomfortable) and he can now take down all the toys that hang from the overhead bar.
Do they make chairs like this for older babies? I should probably do some research...
Re: When did you retire the bouncy chair?
Yes. This is starting to happen as well. He can pull himself up to a sitting position pretty much perfectly now.
Oh well... looks like I can start putting some stuff into storage.
At least I get more space in my living room now though, right? Eh?

We're thinking about getting this for DD, but mostly because of her weight. She's just about to outgrow her bouncer seat. Her butt hits the floor when she bounces now. We usually only use her bouncer to help get her to sleep though.
Leslie - I also saw that chair and was considering buying it before we got this chair as a gift. I liked that it could transition from infant to toddler... and I could just put it where his current seat is now.
I think I'm going to make a trip to BRU soon... I need a new car seat anyhow, so I'm gonna check a few things out.
Thanks ladies!
we had the little lamb bouncer that was retired at about 4 months, and we still use this chair everyday a couple times a day and she loves it.. I wish it was lower to the ground now that she's a mover.. but we really like it.

I always strapped DD in, even when she was a newborn. I don't think she ever found it uncomfortable.
I stopped using it around 5 months because she was bored with it. Also, it wasn't safe anymore because she could arch her back and could have flipped it over.
Now, if I need her to go somewhere safe for a minute, I put her in the jumperoo -- which she started using around 5 months.
We have something VERY similar, it also attached to a bar that made it a swing for when he was a newborn but he NEVER liked the swing part. We still use the chair part-mainly after he has eaten (he has Acid Reflux and I like him to sit for a few min after eating to help keep it all down) but he is starting to try to sit up on his own, and he long ago figured out how to pull the toy bar off--however doing so entertains him. We hope to keep using it until he is 3 or so but may have to take a little time off inbetween the chair and rocker stage.
We have this. There is a bar that either folds under the chair so it can rock, or you can pull it out and the chair doesn't move. You also have the option of the chair vibrating and taking the overhead bar off. DS pulls himself up to a sitting position so for right now, the bar stays pulled out - otherwise it seems the chair will tip over. Good luck : )
