I think I have the flu- been throwing up and my whole body hurts. Starting around 7pm I've had 3 contractions or brax hicks, I can't tell. With DD I didn't feel any contrax or b.h until they started pitocin, so all I have to go on is pitocin contrax. Anyways, my whole belly feels tight and thr lower part feels like a bad period cramp. It lasts for less than a minute than stops. My mom thinks I am having diarrhea cramps that come with the flu but no diarrhea. I'm drinking some water to see if they stop. WWYD?

since you're pregnant, better safe than sorry. at least call your OB.
Do you have a nurse hot line you can call?
I'm not trying to freak you out, but I had vomitting and diarrhea at 24 weeks. It turned out to be appendicitis. Honestly, if you are feeling scared, go.
so did i. and i just had a crap night and was fine in the morning.
alli, i wouldn't but im not a worrier unless things get bad-bad. drink some water, relax, and see in an hour.
have a beer.
My doc always told me to lay on my side and drink tons of water.
Hope everything is okay!
There is NO DIFFERENCE between Braxton Hicks and contractions, other than that contractions dilate your cervix. They feel exactly the same, and you have no way of knowing which is which.
If you have the flu, you are very likely dehydrated, which causes contractions. Lay down on your left side, and drink a liter of water. If you are still having contractions 15-20 minutes after finishing the water, call your OB (or the after-hours answering service) right away and tell him/her you are on your way to triage at labor and delivery for contractions. There are medications they can give you to stop the contractions if that's indeed what's going on. And if you're dehydrated enough, they'll also give you an IV.
Good luck!

I would call your OB. You might be able to go to L&D instead of the emergency room, if they want you to come in.
I had a bad stomach flu around Christmas time, when I was about 35 weeks along with #2. I called my OB and they instructed me to try to keep some fluids down, which I was able to do and then the BH's stopped. If they didn't stop and I couldn't keep fluids down, they were going to have me go to L&D for an IV and to be monitored.
