Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Finger foods for 11 month old?

I know how trite these questions are, but I've selfishly ignored them as DD literally *just* fell in love with finger foods. Tonight she had steamed carrots, broccoli, bread, cheese, pears...what else have you found works well? (we aren't feeding her any meat, either). We both work full-time, too, so any more time-intensive meals will be served only on weekends. TIA!

  • Just feed her what you eat.  Both my kids were on 100% table food by 9 months, certainly by 11 months.  Whatever you're eating, unless its an allergen, can be cut up small enough to be finger food.  Easy!

this! although we just weaned C off of baby food and started 100% table food this week

  • DD loves bananas, potatoes, and mac and cheese is her favorite!  The other day we put peas and mac and cheese on her tray and she picked through the peas and only ate the mac and cheese!  Any sort of pasta with sauce is good for eating with the fingers.

  • DD loves blueberry waffles smeared with cream cheese and she also loves bananas. We give her the whole thing and she takes bites. She also loves peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Not sure how you feel about peanut butter though. Our pedi said it was fine.

BTW, our LOs have the same birthday!!
