When are you telling??

I've already told my mom because we are super close but I don't know when I'm going to tell the rest of my family/friends. I live out of state and am going back there at the end of March which would make me 9 weeks. I'm tempted to tell then but then I think it's too early still. So when are you telling?

My parents and ILs knew we were doing IVF so they knew right away. We waited until 11 weeks to tell everyone else.

I told my mom and mom-in-law so far. My mom will be doing my ultrasounds for me. :-) She was excited to hear the news and she can't wait! lol

The rest of the fam will be told after the 2nd month.

My parents know. We will be telling his parents when we see them at the end of April. Friends will be waiting until at least week 12... at least the ones who haven't figured it out already because I'm not drinking or riding mechanical bulls!

I had my first ultrasound today so we are telling my parents sometime this week/end. We are going to tell the world at about 12 to 13 weeks. It will be here in no time I just wanted to wait to be safe. Wanted to make sure there was a baby in the sack and make sure we are close or at the end of the first tri. Good luck!!!

We're telling people on March 14th and I'll either be 13 weeks or 8 1/2 weeks. We aren't sure how far along we are so we're waiting until after our first appointment on March 8th.

Lurking from 3rd tri. I told my parents @ 7wks and the rest of the world @ 9 wks. planned on waiting until 11 wks but someone heard "I might be pregnant" and I thought that's my news to share, not yours! So I told early.

We are telling everyone now (I'm 9 weeks). We had a normal 8 week sonogram, and my OB said with a healthy heart beat, normal gestational sac with no bleeding, at this point the risk of miscarriage is only 3%, and that only goes down to 1% at the beginning of the 2nd trimester, so we are telling the world.

Ditto this!! Plus i told my sisters, brother and dh told his. We will wait 12wks to tell everyone else unless morning sickness hits and we can't wait.

We're telling my parents this weekend. They live in the same city as us. We're telling my IL's over Easter when we go back for a visit. My husband feels its important to tell family in person. We will have had our first u/s by the time we tell his parents. We'll probably start telling close friends after Easter when we get back home.

We told both our families at 5 weeks as well as our best friends. I told my boss last week due to some trips he wanted to schedule me on in August & September, so we had to re-work my schedule to when I can travel earlier. Plan on telling the ladies in my department this weekend (7 weeks). Will try to hold off telling everyone else until 10 weeks or so...if it doesn't leak out sooner.

We just figured if something does happen we at least have a lot of support then.

We already told the family and best friends!!! I wanted to wait to tell the boss...but with really bad morning sickness I ended up having to tell him and a few coworkers already.

We told DH's parents over the phone and we're telling my parents on Saturday when we see them. Everyone else has to wait until 2nd trimester.

we were going to try and wait until 12 - 13 wks to tell everyone (except my mom, I told her immediately) - but several people have already figured it out. when I've been flat out asked by friends, and I haven't denied it - I just tell them to keep it to themselves.

We told immediate family as soon as we found out. We told everyone else after we heard the heartbeat at 11 weeks. I still haven't told work yet.

We told parents and siblings as soon as we found out, at 4 weeks. I told close friends at 9 weeks after the first ultrasound. Then, I pretty much blabbed to the world (including FB) at 11 weeks, after I heard the h/b at the doctor's office. After she told me that I was a "perfect little pregnant lady" with a "healthy little baby in there" I felt a lot better! Everyone is different, though; you have to find what is right fo ryou. Some tell everyone right away, some don't tell anyone till the 2nd tri...Congrats to you though!

i've already told my mom and one very dear friend. we have our first doctors appointment at 7w 4d and will then tell my dad, sister, and in-laws. and assuming all goes well, we will also announce it on facebook that week. if all goes well at the doc i figure there is no reason to wait but it has to be your decision.
